SUMMARY:

Fabricate aircraft cabinets and performs other duties that support cabinet construction in corporate aircraft.  Use blue prints, company / industry standards and experience to build and or modify composite cabinetry for executive aircraft.   Remove prior surface coating and prepare surfaces for paint, mix paint products, apply paint products to industry standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings or sketches  to build or modify composite cabinetry
  • Previous composite cabinet construction or modification experience must include all facets of cabinet building
  • Prepare surfaces to be painted by removing old finish, sanding, steaming or cleaning
  • Selects and applies proper glues and ensures hardware meets or exceeds industry standards
  • Able to safely operate the tools and equipment associated with composite cabinet building
  • Performs duties as assigned by supervisor

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years experience in aircraft or executive (VIP) composite cabinet construction or modification
  • Autocad experience preferred
  • Must have knowledge of industry tools and set up of equipment
  • Able to construct and follow templates
  • High gloss paint application experience preferred / willingness to learn a must
  • Prefer a technician that holds or has held an FAA Composite Repairman's Certificate

  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Ability to travel to customer locations
  • Must be able to work overtime when needed
  • Must be able to wear a respirator or air hood and work in a close / confined environment
  • Must be able to routinely lift 40 pounds
