SUMMARY:
Works with various materials to provide finish coatings on wood surfaces for VIP aircraft interiors. Perform other functions that support composite cabinet completion by utilizing skills in conformance with procedures, guidelines and company standards.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Familiar with various finishes that contain polyurethane, lacquer, enamel and stains to provide the desired finish on composite cabinets for a VIP interior
- Ability to build a high gloss finish commonly found within corporate aviation on wood laminate base
- Familiar with proper masking techniques
- Familiar with sanding and polishing high gloss finishes
- Familiar with safety standards found in the paint industry
- Performs duties as assigned by supervisor
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 5 or more years experience in aircraft, automotive or industrial painting
- Composite fabrication or experience preferred / willingness to learn a must
BEHAVIORS:

OTHER:
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Ability to travel to customer locations
- Must be able to work overtime when needed
- Must be able to wear a respirator or air hood and work in a close / confined environment
- Must be able to routinely lift 40 pounds
