SUMMARY:
This will person will be responsible for managing the cabinet, composite and soft goods refurbishment (Completions Department) under the Repair Station guide lines. This will include budgeting, bidding / forecasting project requirements to ensure quality standards are met and profitability of the department is maintained. Candidates must have strong leadership skills that support rapid growth in a fast paced environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Must have a thorough knowledge of interior completion, production and manufacturing operations
- Ensure all managed activities comply with the goals of the department
- Customer service skills - interact and obtain customer approvals for work to be performed (post sale)
- Monitor safety conditions and interior quality practices
- Enforce company policy, correct safety practices and procedures for all employees and visitors
- Ensure the employees are coached and trained in their areas of responsibility
- Able to write manuals, identify procedures, and document written instructions to formalize a quality work environment in a fast paced rapidly growing company.
- Directs cross training and cross utilization efforts with other Aircraft Service Departments (Avionics, Maintenance, Paint and Detail)
- Able to rationalize and justify capital expenditures, budgets, business plans
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 10 years experience with corporate (VIP) interior completions
- 5 years leadership experience in an interior or completion shop
- Able to ensure the necessary documentation is correctly maintained for all completion activities
- Familiarity with the industry vendors, regulations and current procedures for completing interiors on a timely and competitive basis
- Must be able to read, understand and utilize blueprints in a fabrication business
